the Winner of the M. Mažvydas Award 97' for Research
Regina
KOŽENIAUSKIENĖ, PhD in Humanities (1991), associate Professor of the department of
Languages of Vilnius University, the head of the chair of the Lithuanian language since
1996, an expert and researcher in the field of the ancient Lithuanian writings. She was
born February 6, 1946 in Ukmergė and finished secondary school in Panevėžys in 1962
with honours degree. In 19621967 she studied ancient languages at Vilnius University
and continues her scientific career there at present.
